Deposit Type: Secondary Enrichment
Development Status: Past Producer
Host Rock: Iron Formation
The first shipments from this property, once known as Ethel, came in 1902 from the Tobin works, which overlapped the Genessee property at the southwest corner. Shipments stopped after 1915, when the westward dip of the ore took the operation wholly into the Tobin property.
In 1928, a separate mine was begun on another part of the property by Corrigan Mckinney Steel Co. and later Republic Steel. Shipment continued through 1935. This mine was connected by drifts to the Odgers and Tobin mines.
