This Feldspar & Smoky Quartz from Crows Nest, SE Queensland, is by no means a top quality specimen by world standards, found in 2009 in a cavity in a granite cliff face, due to the nature of the cavity it took 6 hours to cut it out using a Diamond saw, the specimen was much larger originly, but due to the hard nature of the granite & a fault through the pocket the specimen came out in 2 pieces.
