Name:
Named after Grigorii Ivanovich Lesuke (1935–1995), technical worker in the Department of Crystallography, University of St. Petersburg, Russia.
Synonym:
A synonym of Cadwaladerite
In 2019 it was demonstrated that cadwaladerite and lesukite are the same mineral species. Because cadwaladerite has historical precedence, it was recognized as a valid mineral species, whereas lesukite was discredited by IMA.
