Naturally occurring naphthalene (also known as bicyclo[4.4.0]deca-1,3,5,7,9-pentaene), formed in coal fire (found as white plates up to 3 mm in winter 1984; associated with Sulphur and Kladnoite).
Readily sublimes at room temperature with a characteristic odor.
NOTE: naphthalene is also the primary ingredient of mothballs.
