Formula:
BaAlF4(OH)
Said to be a possible Ba analogue of jakobssonite. Found within a single fluoroaluminate segregation in aegirine-arfvedsonite granites, with usovite and likely together with 'Unnamed (Ba-analogue of Calcioaravaipaite)', among others. Seem to be or primary origin. Other associates: cryolite, fluorite, pachnolite, prosopite, thomsenolite, weberite.
Occurs as prismatic or splintery grains, containing up to 5.5-6 wt.% oxygen. Suggested to be the alpha or beta polymorph.
Compare Unnamed (Barium-Strontium Aluminium Fluoride), BaAlF5.
