Synthetic: experimentally crystallized in silica tubes from fumarole gas of Iodake crater, Satsuma-Ioujima volcano, Japan. Crystallization temperature: around 500oC.
Associates with halite, sylvite, KPb2Cl5 phase (likely challacolloite), Unnamed (K-Rb-Cs chloride), Unnamed (K-Rb-Zn chloride), pyrite, molybdenite, wulfenite and cristobalite.
Might possibly represent the Rb analogue of flinteite.
