Morphology:
Needles, bundles of needles and star bursts of broad blades composed of tightly intergrown needles. Crystals are elongate and striated parallel to <100>, exhibiting the prismatic forms {001} and {011} and having terminations possibly composed of the forms {100} and {61-1}.

Although calciodelrioite has a structure that is very similar to rossite, with which it is commonly associated, rossite is almost always partly to completely altered to the lower hydrate, metarossite, whereas calciodelrioite exhibits no evidence of such alteration.
