A reported placer Au occurrence located in sec. 3, T15N, R11E, MDM, about 4.6 km N of Damascus and about 5.6 km ESE of Casa Loma, on the N canyon wall of the North Fork American River (E slope of Sawtooth Ridge), on private land within a National Forest area. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
