A Ba-baryte occurrence located in sec. 33, T9N, R23E, MDM, 3.4 km (2.1 miles) S of Round Mountain, near the mouth of Blackwell Canyon, on the eastern margin of Antelope Valley. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.
A large deposit of baryte occurs at the northern end of a limestone belt which borders the eastern side of Antelope Valley and forms a wall for a few miles. It strikes N-S. Specimens from a small hole show this deposit to be a massive, white, pure baryte deposit. Local rocks include Triassic marine rocks, unit 4 (West Walker River).
