Colluvial deposits of glacially transported lace agate pebbles and cobbles. The agate is a white chalcedony with very fine, delicate, laced bands in grey to blue-grey, known locally as "Treece's agate" after a Berkshire lapidary artisan, Walter Treece (deceased) who brought the material to the attention of local rockhounds.
