A former pumice mine located in the SW¼ sec. 13, E½ sec. 14, sec. 21, & in the NE¼ sec. 23, T21S, R38E, MDM, 6.2 km (3.8 miles) WNW of Cactus Peak (coordinates of record). Owned by the Crownite Corp. (1956). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters. Prior to 1956, mthis was the main source of pumice in the Coso Range.
Local rocks include Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 8 (Northern Mojave Desert).
Workings include unspecified surface openings/operations.
