An Fe-Mo occurrence located T23S, R41E, MDM, 4.5 km (2.8 miles) SE of Mountain Spring and 10.6 km (6.6 miles) NW of Argus Peak (coordinates of record). MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.
NOTE: The USGS MRDS database presents the geographic coordinates presented in this Mindat file, which place this locality in the Argus Mountains, Inyo County, but then immediately places it "4.5 miles NE of Corona" (Corona is in Riverside County). Moreover, it places the locality in T&R value of T20N, R6W, sec. 8, SBM, which is in Glenn County! That MRDS file also presents data under "Geographic context" placing the locality in Inyo County, on the China Lake Naval base, which agrees with the geographic coordinates presented. There are 2 MRDS files for a "Corona Quarry;" however, both of them are stone quarries and do not relate to a Fletcher claim. The Inyo County location is considered correct based on the foregoing data.
Mineralization is hosted in granite. The ore body consists of dikes. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
No production.
