A W occurrence/prospect/mine located in the NW¼NW¼ sec. 20, T17S, R10E, SBM, 8.3 km (5.2 miles) S of Ocotillo, W of Davies Valley, on Bureau of Land Management administered land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in limestone. The ore body strikes N5W and dips 25 SW. The hanging wall and footwall rock is quartz-muscovite-biotite schist. The tactite zone is discontinuous but exposed in 2 localities 800 feet apart. Local rocks include pre-Cenozoic granitic and metamorphic rocks undivided.
Workings include underground openings with a length of 10.67 meters and comprised of aa 25 foot inclined shaft at the top of the ridge plus a 10 foot vertical shaft sunk 800 feet SW of the incline.
Little or no production occurred.
