A former Cr occurrence/claim/mine located in sec. 26 (assumed spot in the center S½SW¼, sec. 26), T23N, R4E, MDM, 4.6 km (2.8 miles) WNW of Pulga, in the headwaters area of Cirby Creek, on National Forest land (located claim). Discovered in 1916 or 1917; first production was in 1917. Discovered by D.B. Simmons. Owned by L. R. Stokes, who leased or bought the property from Simmons (1976). Originally owned by D. B. Simmons. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500-1,000 meters.
Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a shaft and a tunnel.
Production data are found in: Rynearson, Garn Arthur (1953): 273.
Analytical data results: 35.86% Cr2O3 - 1918 ore shipment.
