A former Mn occurrence/mine located in the NE¼ sec. 12, T4S, R3E, MDM, 4.0 km (2.5 miles) SSE of Tesla, along the E canyon wall of Corral Hollow, on private land. Discovered in 1893. Owned by F. J. Rodriguez (1950). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Local rocks include rocks of the Franciscan melange.
In 1893 this mine produced 120 tons of good ore, but the vein became narrow at depth and work was suspended.
