Structure: Shear Zone
Alteration: Silicification Or Rock In Shear Zone
Deposit: Oxide copper minerals and limonite gossan occur along fractures in a N 10 w, vertical shear zone in light gray phyllite. The zone is 2-4 m wide and the rock appears to be silicified within the zone. No sulfide minerals were noted.
Deposit type: Skarn Cu
Development: Heap leach pad was probably constructed within the last 2 years (1984). Rock from the open cut was placed on the leach pad but apparently neverleached. Listed As a active silver mine in 1983, employing 2 persons. In 1983 it was owned by watterson mining co., jack and william watterson, lessors, 601 bridge st, #209, winnemucca, nv 89445.
