Sec 14 T36N R36E Gold silver
Deposit: Shear zone veins; model name could also be: polymetallic veins. First locations in the vicinity of barrett springs were made in 1906, with little activity until 1910, when c.e. Carpenter discovered high-grade gold in the area. Activity halted in 1911 when it was found that the main claims were on patented railroad land, but was renewed when the land was purchased from the railroad. ; info.src : 1 pub lit
Deposit type: Low-sulfide Au-quartz vein
Geology: Geol.com: quartz forms stockwork in wide shear zones and narrow continuous veins parallel to some of the narrower shear zones; gold and silver values are generally low and confined to narrow widths.
Rock formation(s): O'Neill Formation
Ore(s): Ne-Trending Shear Zones; Quartz Stockwork
