Three individually described molybdenum mines/prospects. The website Riksantikvaren.no calls them "Litle Knaben" with added their relative position to each other. Since they do not present references for this, the Norwegian name seems to have priority, though Norwegian maps use the English name. See the note below. The coordinates are for where the Norgeskart.no places the name Litle Knaben on the map.
Gvein et al. (1979) write that these mines were operative 1914-1917. The quartz veins contained 0,39-1,0% MoS2, and were associated with an aplite dyke.
NOTE Ronald Werner April 2021:
There seems to be confusion related to name and location of "Lille Knaben" and Litle Knaben". Müller places his Lille Knaben much more to the south than Gvein et al. (1979).
The Riksantikvaren.no's "Litle Knaben, i midten" og "Litle Knaben, lengst oppe" and "Litle Knaben, lengst nede" correspond well with Gvein et al's (1979) map.
Both the Norgeskart.no and kart.1881.no place the name Litle Knaben in the general area where these three sub-localities are located.
It seems therefor a natural choice to register all three of them separately.
