Mines de Saint-Barbe
The "Saint-Barbe" colliery operated from 1820 to 1822 and from 1840 to 1870. The mine had a shaft that was sunk between 1864 and 1867 and was shut down in 1877 after a catastrophic firedamp explosion that killed 47 people. The site was nearby to the "Grand Champ" adit and served as a service site for the mines at Graissessac. The geo-coordinates mark the approximate location of the former site
