Mines de Grosménil
The concession of Grosménil was mainly located in the present urban area of Frugerès-les-Mines. The deposit was developed and exploited by means of several shafts. Mining began in the 19th century and ended after World War 2. Street names, such as "Rue de Grosménil" and "Chemin de la Mine", still remind us of the time when coal mining played an important role in the area.
