Structure: Roberts Mountain Thrust North And East Trending Fracture Zones
Deposit: Replacement bodies at intersections of fracture zones with limestone horizons. The property is developed by 4 shafts (the ryegrass, bell and northstar) and 4,000 feet of other workings. Worked intermittently since 1887, total production has probably been a little more than $200,000. Virtually all the ore shipped was from the zone of oxidation and averaged 25% pb, 12 oz/r ag. Geology: The area is under lain by chert and shale of the overthrust. Vinini formation. The ore deposits occur in the lower plate devonian limestone in and near north and east trending fracture zones, As irregular replacement bodies (roberts, p. 111)
