A quarry measuring ca. 80 x 30 m in pegmatite. The deposit was studied by A/S Arendal Smelteverk, Eydehavn in 1961 (Sverdrup 1961). Sverdrup (1961) estimated there to be ca. 40 Kt of mineable quartz, but with the deposit being open to depth.
The quarry was operated from 1972 and onwards by Stad Mineral AS, was sold to Anders Sande a couple of years later, but who went bancrupt in 1986.
The quartz was sold to the Meråker Smelteverk smelter in Trøndelag.
