A shallow, but relatively large quarry(ca. 40m), especially considering its geographical location. The nearest road is the Fv 3772 at a distance of 1 km, but the forest is not easy to cross.
The impression is, that quarrying is spread out over at least two distinct periods, with the entrance section seemingly older than the rest of the quarry. This needs to be verified.
The first half of the quarry is richer in quartz than feldspar, while the second half is very rich in feldspar, forming large coherent masses.
Biotite is especially abundant in the wall separating the nr. 1 and nr. 2 quarries. Larger plates might have reached a size of 1m accross.
In all other respects, the quarry seems to be void of interesting accessory minerals, though no specific effort was undertaken to find any.
A small shack above the nr. 1 quarry must have given shelter to the person(s) working in the quarry.
A generator below the nr. 1 indicates that motorized equipment was used. I am not technical enough to know if this is an aggregate or a compressor. So, whether the drill was electric or pneumatic is an open question to me.
An empty, rusty oil drum in the bog below the quarries is a fine landmark, making navigation easy.
