This prospect, located 10 1/2 miles south of Ava, consists of an outcrop of secondary limonite covering an area 30 to 120 feet wide and 450 feet long on the crown of a hill. Dolomite, of the Jefferson City formation, outcrops at intervals on the sides of the hill and it is probable that the residuum at this place is relatively thin. The ore occurs in the form of fragments and small boulders intermingled with residual chert. It is compact to cellular in structure and shows the pseudomorphic botryoidal and arborescent forms after the sulphides. A small amount of silica is present in the form of fragments of chert.
