An unsuccessful venture, working the furthest eastern extensions of the Great Perran Iron Lode for iron from 1875 to 1879, but is known to have been at work long befor this date.In about 1814 whiel an adit level being driven towards the iron lode it intersected a lead lode ( Dines says there were 3 or 4 north-south lead lodes). A few dumps and pits are left in the fields near the abandoned Shepherds branch railway line. The iron lode has been traced for a further 1.5kms east, but there are no recorded workings.
