A former underground Ag-Au mine located in the East-central (SW¼SE¼NE¼) sec. 35, T4N, R18W, on land of unknown status. Owned/operated at times, or in part, by Aplington; and, Mr. Webster (1961).
Mineralization is spotty gold and silver ores in quartz stringers and pods in a fracture zone in Precambrian quartz monzonite.
Workings include a shallow shaft(s). Worked from 1937 through 1941 and in 1961. It produced a total of some 205 tons of ore averaging about 0.4 oz. Au/t, and 0.1 oz. Ag/t.
