Liba group
An U occurrence/mine located in the NE¼ sec. 4, T27N, R10E, G&SRM, SSE of Cameron. This locality is not listed in the USGS MRDS database. The geographic coordinates presented for this locality are approximate to the center of sec. 4.
Mineralization is an U deposit hosted in arkosic sandstone with overlying carbonaceous sandstone in the upper Shinarump Member. Secondary minerals are present as well as Co, Mo & sulfates.
Workings include surface openings comprised of open pits.
Production was 1,829 tons of ore @ 0.16% U3O8 (1955-1960).
