"South of Pau on the N134, take the N134bis at Gan. From Lauruns, follow the Ossau valley. You can reach the lake either by the small train or by continuing the road to near Sorques where the path G.R. n° 10 starts. In the limestone and schists surrounding the lake, there are crystals of grossular garnets and asbestos. From the same path one can walk to the Lac de Miguélou where one can find a few small schist deposits with almandine garnet." [Belot, 1978]
