The PJ Opal Mine is an opal deposit and prospect/mining claim, first located by Quint Doty in the 1980s and later by Lloyd Olds for use as a Millsite for the Bonanza Opal Mine. Subsequently Lloyd Olds relocated the property for himself, and leased it to Deane & Patti Clark in 1994-1995.
It was sold to Larry Olds in 1995-1996, who in turn sold it to others. Currently (2018) owned by Don & Nadine Carey (et al).
Work consists of a small digging scar and pit on the side of a hill next to Virgin Valley Ranch Road.
A millsite with buildings (of the same name) adjoins the south end of the claim.
