The mine began production on 2015.
The Mine lies within a greenstone belt of the Paleoproterozoic Guiana Shield. The Guiana Shield represents the northern portion of the Amazon Craton, which is surrounded by Neoproterozoic orogenic belts.
The mine contains three pits and an underground operation.
A gold mine project located in a remote part of the rain forest located near the confluence of the Cuyuni River and Gold River.
The gold mine is subdivided into nine distinct auriferous zones: Aleck Hill, North Aleck Hill, Rory’s Knoll, East Rory’s Knoll, Walcott Hill, East Walcott Hill, Mad Kiss, South Mad Kiss, and West Mad Kiss.
