A former Au-Ag occurrence/mine located in sec. 14, T2S, R12E, SBM, about 13.0 km ENE of Pinto Mountain (summit), on National Park Service land (Joshua Tree National Park) (located just inside the park boundary). Operated by Mr. Olsen and Mr. Jenson, California (1932). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. First produced in 1932.
Local rocks include Quaternary alluvium and marine deposits.
