As the name suggests found south of the Mulga North meteorite. W.H. Cleverly discovered eight very weathered fragments of this olivine-bronzite chondrite in 1963-1964, totalling 298gr.
The freshly cut surface is pale chocolate brown. The spherical chondrules are small, bluish white and clearly defined set in a fine base. The iron oxides are very decomposed from terrestrial weathering. Within the meteorite is scattered specks of nickel iron altered to oxides. Troilite aggregates within it and fills fine veinlets.
olivine is less abundant than orthopyroxene. Laminated pigeonite forms very small grains. The chondrules include monosomatic barred types, but most are polysomatic, including fan, grated and porphyritic types. An unusual aspect of the meteorite is some chondrules contain two minerals, with one area of olivine and the other pyroxene with contrasting textures. The specimens are housed in the Western Australian Museum.
