Location: This occurrence is at an elevation of about 3,150 feet on a ridge about 1 mile south of the south fort of Montana Creek. It is about 0.6 mile south of hill 2480 in the SW1/4NE1/4 sec. 10, T. 24 N., R. 2 W., Seward Meridian. The location is accurate to within 1/4 mile.
Geology: This occurrence consists of altered granitic rocks that contain xenoliths of mafic metavolcanic rocks (Csejtey and Miller, 1978). No ore minerals are visible. A sample of metadiorite contains 2,000 parts per million chromium, 500 parts per million antimony, and 10 parts per million tin (Miller and others, 1978).
Workings: Limited surface sampling by the U.S. Geological Survey (Miller and others, 1978).
Alteration: The granitic rocks are described as altered, but the type of alteration is not specified (Csejtey and Miller, 1978).
