A nickel mine owned by Hanna Mining Co. Produced 8,000 tons Ni in ferronickel (1984); capacity is 8,200 tons/year. Closed in 1987.
Springer (Can. Mineral., 1974; "Compositional and Structural Variations in Garnierite") found the garnierite from Riddle to be a poorly crystalline serpentine and quartz by XRD. It has a composition with Mg 1.82 apfu and Ni 0.98 apfu.
