An asbestos occurrence/mine located in sec. 4, T5N, R17E, about ½ mile S of the Salt River below the Canadian Mine, 1¼ miles NW of the Mule Hoof Bend of the Salt River and about 2¼ miles W of the highways 60 & 77 bridge, on National Forest land. Phillips lists the location as sec. 28, T5N, R17E.
Mineralization is a vein deposit with a linear ore body hosted in the Mescal Limestone. An associated rock unit is diabase.
Assay data: ½ inch long, fairly harsh asbestos fiber.
