A former Mn-flagstone occurrence/mine located in the SW¼ sec. 12, T11N, R13W, G&SRM, 12 miles SE of Signal, on private property (located claim). Discovered in 1942. Owned by the World Manganese Corporation of California, California (1957). The USGS MRDS database stated accuracy for this locality is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a Mn deposit. The ore body(ies) cover an area of 32 HA, strike NW and dip 12SW at a thickness of 2.44 meters. Ore bodies Nos. 1 & 2 are fissure veins. Ore body No. 3 is a shear zone. The primary mode of origin is unknown. Primary ore control is bedding. Secondary ore control was folding. The tabular, bedded ore bodies are enriched by stringers of harder Mn oxides. Local rocks include Middle Miocene to Oligocene volcanic and sedimentary rocks, undivided.
Workings include unspecified surface openings with an overall length of 76.2 meters and an overall width of 48.77 meters.
