Schwarzenberg, Türnitz, Mostviertel, Niederösterreich, Österreich
Pb-Zn deposit, hosted in Triassic limestone of the Wetterstein formation (Wettersteinkalk). Located at an altitude of 960-980 m asl in forest on the steep north slope of the Schwarzenberg, west of Türnitz. Some of the old adits are still accessible. The area is best approached on the footpath that starts at the pass on the road between Türnitz and Schwarzenbach an der Pielach and leads westwards up the mountain.
NOTES:
- Not to be confused with Schwarzenberg north of Türnitz.
- The mining area straddles the border between the municipalities of Türnitz and Schwarzenbach an der Pielach, and some of the workings actually belong to Schwarzenbach.
