Other/historical names associated with this locality:
East Vulture Mine; Belmont-McNeil Mine; Economy Mining Co. Mine
A former underground Ag-Au-Pb-Cu mine located in the W½ sec. 36, T.4N., R.W. (Belmont Mountains 15 minute topo map), North of Tonopah and about 20 miles (ca. 32 km) SW of Wickenburg on Belmont Mountain, a craggy, thin peak.
Mineralization involves veins cutting andesite in the Big Horn Mountains. These mountains are made up of a basement of Precambrian schist and gneiss, intruded, and partly covered by the Tertiary andesites.
Workings include a 500-feet (ca. 152 m) deep shaft with levels at 100 feet (ca. 30 m), 250 feet (ca. 76 m), 400 feet (ca. 122 m), and 500 feet (ca. 152 m).
