| Abstract/Notes | A lightweight, portable gravity corer is described that collects up to 3 m long, 10 cm diameter undisturbed cores from sediments of exceptionally high porosity. The corer employs a triple O-ring seal to hold sediments in an unsupported, catcher-free plastic barrel simply by suction. |
