| Abstract/Notes | Conodonts from a limestone interval exposed above Port St. Nicholas, Prince of Wales Island, southeastern Alaska, include Pandorinellina exigua philipi (Klapper), Eognathodus sulcatus Philip, and Pelekysgnathus serratus Jentzsch. These conodonts indicate an early to middle Pragian age (informal faunal units 5 or 6 of Klapper et al). This middle Early Devonian age is supported by the presence of the graptolites Monograptus yukonensis, M. craigensis, and M. pacificus in shales above the limestone and by some shelly fossils from within the limestone. |
