| Abstract/Notes | The areal distribution of the coarse fraction of ten samples of the Kneehills Tuff indicates a southern provenance for the volcanic ashes that originated the pyroclastic deposit. The coarse index (arithmetic mean of the fifty largest diameters in a thin section) is a useful parameter for quick grain-size studies of indurated sediments. |
