| Abstract/Notes | The title compound, C13H18IN4 +·Br−·2H2O, is a quaternary ammonium salt derived from 2-iodobenzyl bromide and hexamethylenetetramine. Two water molecules per asymmetric unit act as hydrogen-bond donors to the bromide anion. Direct cation–anion contacts are established via C—H donors, mainly from methylene groups in the α position to the ammonium centre. | ||
