| Abstract/Notes | In the title cocrystal, C6H9N3O2·C8H6O4, both carboxylic acid groups of phthalic acid form an R 2 2(8) ring motif (through N—H...O and O—H...N hydrogen bonds) on either side of the 2-amino-4,6-dimethoxypyrimidine molecule, generating a helical chain along the b axis. This chain is interpenetrated by a centrosymmetrically related chain to which it is linked by π–π stacking [perpendicular separation 3.332 Å, centroid–centroid distance 3.6424 (7) Å]. | ||
