| Abstract/Notes | In the title complex, [GaCl3(CH3CN)], the GaIII atom shows a slightly distorted tetrahedral coordination, with three Cl atoms and one N atom of the acetonitrile as ligands. The Ga atom, one Cl atom, the N atom, both C atoms and one H atom of the acetonitrile molecule are situated on a mirror plane. The crystal packing is stabilized by several weak intermolecular C—H...Cl hydrogen-bonding contacts. |
