| Abstract/Notes | The crystal stucture of p-nitroaniline hydrobromide, C6H7N2O2 +·Br− or O2NC6H4NH3 +·Br−, exhibits ionic layers separated by hydrocarbon layers. The hydrocarbon layers stack head-to-tail but no π–π interactions are observed. In the inorganic layer, the ammonium group, Br− anion and nitro group interact to form a three-dimensional hydrogen-bonded network. The structure is compared with that of the related compound O2NC6H4NH3 +·Cl−. | ||
