Field CollectingField Collecting in San Diego, CA area

I'll be visiting the San Diego county area hopefully multiple times this Spring, would like to do some collecting.I lived many years in the Seattle area, so not much experience in pegmatite collecting, mostly volcanics up there. Seeking someone to point out good productive sites or areas, based on recent experience, not into dead,burned out localities or fee digs. Also into carbonates,Cu/Zn/Pb assemblages, good micro localities, mineralogically diverse terrains, lots of experience with geological and stratigraphic maps, like to explore. I would really appreciate some help, thanks in advance!

Thomas Hess left a message in the Rockhounds forum at http://www.mindat.org/mesg-15-89377.html, so maybe he would be able to help you find a place to collect minerals at somewhere around San Diego.
