Great reference to The Tingler!  For those that don’t understand, it is highly recommended 1959 movie.  Look it up and give it a try!

Far out!  Rust and manganese grunge taken to new aesthetic heights!  Good eye to spot this 2 mm feature and zoom in for a closer look.

Great photo Bruce, I remember the days that most called them "pyrolusite dendrites" until they started analyzing them.  Nice photo here for sure.

What a beautiful photo!
It appears to be a combination of dendritic growth and slight but abrupt changes in composition.
