hello
do you have any information about the garnets found in this locality? I have a specimen here with me but the crystals look a lot like Chinese spessartine and on Mindat I not find the locality but only Ardino

Hi Matteo,
If you spessartine are orange, as well as the Chinese one, the locality is Latinka (Латинка), Kardzhali province.
By the way, Cishnevo actually is Vishnevo, and the area is Banite, not Ardino.
Regards
Anton Ivanov, Bulgaria

Dear Matteo,
See attached picture of spessartine (twin) from Latinka village, mined 1989. At your picture, the reddish garnet is Fe- spessartine, where the orange one is just spessartine.
