Fakes & Frauds'Citrine Quartz' on ebay...

Someone on eBay is trying to sell this specimen as an 'authentic citrine quartz'... I wonder if this is a smoky quartz, because of the colors. Also is listed without location.
Thanks!

As for location, I imagine the seller doesn't know, and I wouldn't want to encourage him to make one up. Without a locality, just means no mineral collector will buy it, but don't forget that we mineral collectors are just a minuscule unimportant part of the e-bay stone market anyway, so the stone is destined to go to someone in the much larger and economically more important "energy crystal"/"powerstone"/"mystical" market, where buyers don't necessarily care where it came from.

Even as a collector, I'd consider a specimen like that for my Cabinet of Curiosities - to go alongside the crinoid fragment bed and the colourful smelter slag.
