GeneralFault with Maps

Say you have a Mindat sub heading covering a shire, county etc. The map will show the individual sites correctly, then add another circle for all of them at a random location hundreds or thousands of miles away. Zoom in on this and it will show nothing. This has occurred across several Western Australian sites. The Three Springs Shire has been raised as an example. I am not certain at present if I am doing something wrong or it is a fault. I was hoping the Mindat elves could check this please. -Kim

I checked this shire, and noted that the located sites in the shire plotted correctly, and blue circles were shown for the other 6 or so unlocated sites, some 1000+ km to the east. I think they plotted by default in the centre of Western Australia, as the Three Springs Shire had no location shown. So when you tried to zoom in there was nothing. I added coordinates for most of the sites in the shire, and they now plot correctly. However, sites without coordinates now do not show in the blue circles. It seems this is because previously the unlocated sites were estimated based on the location of higher sites in the hierachy, but now they are not? I will ask what is happening, if you think I understand the problem as you see it?.
